Camera testing: Fujifilm X100S vs Canon 5D mark II with the Canon 35mm f/1.4L lens

I wanted to see how a camera like the Fujifilm X100s would compare to a Canon 5D mark II and an L lens. It's a fraction of the size, weight and price. Below are some tests:

The difference for me is significant, but I think the convenience of having a pocketable camera that takes pretty decent shots makes it worth having (especially as I spend most of my time these days chasing round after my 3-year-old daughter).

A new camera — Fujifilm X100S

I bought a new camera: The Fujifilm X100S. It's an APS-C, mirrorless compact with a fixed 23mm (35mm equivalent) f/2 lens. It fits in my pocket which is very strange for me as I'm used to lugging round a pro DSLR with a heavy Canon L lens or two with it.
